Volunteering at Sheridan

Volunteering at Sheridan

Volunteers make a difference in our school community. We couldn't get it all done without them!

There are many ways to get involved as a volunteer at Sheridan, with a wide variety of volunteer activities to choose from. We ensure that if you want to be involved, we find a way to make it happen! There are opportunities that are suitable for any schedule -- from one-time events to ongoing activities -- and can be done at Sheridan during school hours or at home in the evening.

Please review the list of programs and see where you might like to get started as a volunteer. Please also fill out the HDSB Volunteer Application Form (below) and return it to the office A.S.A.P.

In order to volunteer at the school we will need a CURRENT Halton Police Check (must be valid within the last 6 months). If you do not have this available, please go to the closest Halton Region Police Station i(95 Oak Walk Dr (by WalMart and Superstore on Dundas) to apply for one. Please ensure that the vulnerable sector is checked on the application.

If you volunteered at Sheridan last year, we require you to fill out the Annual Offence Declaration Form for Volunteers (below) and return to the office A.S.A.P.

This is a great opportunity to help out in your child’s classroom!

We currently have an urgent need for volunteers for Healthy Snack and Pizza Lunch programs. Without additional volunteers, we will not be able to continue running these programs.

If you are interested and available in helping hand out some of our various specialty lunch programs, please contact Mrs. Matthews in the office.
